Job summary

Retreat Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float pool across units within your scope of practice, including ICUs, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health. You will educate patients and families, administer medications, monitor vitals, document care, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold or be eligible for Virginia RN licensure, with BLS and at least three

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
• Required minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Float across units within your scope of practice including ICUs, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health.
• Instruct and educate patients and family members.
• Administer prescribed medications using the 5 rights, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate unit activities and discharge planning with the healthcare team.
