Wythe County Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its float pool for Full Time Nights, rotating weekends. This rural hospital offers exposure across multiple units, with a focus on flexible staffing, professional growth, and community-centered care. The role requires an active Virginia RN license (or compact license) and BLS certification.

ACLS/PALS are preferred. 1–2 years of bedside experience in critical care, ED, PACU or similar is required; 2–4 years CC experience

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• ACLS, PALS & Advanced Stroke course are preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of clinical bedside experience is required in Critical Care, ED, PACU or similar.
• 2–4 years critical care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care across multiple inpatient units using the nursing process.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float where needed and collaborate with interprofessional teams.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and related care.
• Document care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients and families.
