Job summary

HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Float Pool in a high-acuity environment. You will deliver clinical expertise, ensure high-quality patient care, and support a collaborative team focused on safe outcomes.

The role requires FL RN licensure (or compact) with active license within 60 days, a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and certifications like BLS; ACLS/PALS desirable. Strong communication and PC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license or compact with active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred, required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current NIHSS certification preferred, required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CRRN or CEN certification preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, PC skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
