Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking an Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across multiple acute care units. This role requires adaptability to rapidly shift among trauma, neurology, cardiac, surgical, telemetry and other patient populations while maintaining safety and evidence-based practice.

You will precept students and new graduates, document in the EMR, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across acute care units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for complex patients.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams for optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate adaptability when transitioning between specialties.
• Precept nursing students and new graduates.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
