Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking an Acute Care Float Pool RN to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across diverse acute care units. This role emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and mentoring of students and new grads within a Magnet-recognized academic environment.

You will work across units such as trauma, neurology, cardiac, telemetry, and post-surgical services, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.
• Current Louisiana RN license (or eligibility) and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered nursing care across multiple acute care units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical adaptability when transitioning between specialties.
• Precept nursing students and new graduate nurses.
