Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care across a variety of acute care units. This role supports units where expertise is needed most in a Magnet-recognized academic environment.

The RN will rapidly assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, collaborating with interprofessional teams and precepting nursing students and new graduates as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience.
• Licensure as RN (eligible for licensure in applicable jurisdiction).
• BLS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing across multiple acute care units.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for complex patients.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams for optimal outcomes.
• Demonstrate adaptability when transitioning between specialties.
• Serve as a resource and promote best practices per Magnet standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
