Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or degree completed.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Tennessee.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months for relevant units.
• NVCI certification within 6 months for applicable roles.
• PALS within 6 months for pediatric/ER roles.
• TNCC/ENPC within 6 months for pediatric ER roles.
• Experience in emergency or pediatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments on patients upon admission.
• Plan care on an individual basis with nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families for discharge and post-discharge needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per policy.
• Document accurately and timely in the health record.
• Reassess condition and adjust care plan as needed.
• Assume charge responsibilities and coordinate staffing as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
