Job summary

Williamson Health in Spring Hill, Tennessee seeks a dedicated nurse to coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner across adult, pediatric, emergency, critical care, and oncology units.

Requirements include a TN nursing license, nursing degree, and BLS with a range of certifications (ACLS, PALS, NVCI, ENPC/TNCC) to be completed within specified timeframes. Ability to perform under pressure and lift up to 250 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
  • For 3rd floor telemetry unit: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
  • For float pool and float pool extended: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For float pool and float pool extended: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care: AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
  • For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
  • For Adult Emergency Room: At least one year of emergency experience preferred
  • For Adult Emergency Room: TNCC Preferred
  • For Adult Emergency Room: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For Adult Emergency Room: PALS within 6 months of hire
  • For Adult Emergency Room: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical: At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred.
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical: PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room: At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room: PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room: ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room: ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
  • Adult Medical Surgical Patient Care Delivery

  • Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
  • Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day
  • Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.
  • Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission utilizing skills of observation, communication and examination; including data obtained from patient, family and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Plans the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
  • Plans for patient teaching, discharge and post discharge needs as appropriate for patient population.
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to areas evidence by adherence to policy, procedure and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/ solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Documents accurately and timely.
  • Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Accepts charge responsibilities and assigns staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity and complexity of patient's condition. Facilitates staff development
  • Maintains healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family.
  • Maintains position specific qualifications.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for assigned communications and special assignments.
  • Maintains their work areas and personal appearance in a way that reflects our professionalism and demonstrates to our patients, visitors, and coworkers the importance we place on cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.
