Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse-Float Pool for part-time Day shifts located at Kishwaukee Hospital and Valley West Hospital. The nurse will provide clinical care to acutely ill patients, coordinate with the care team, and contribute to outcome-focused plans in a busy inpatient setting.
Requirements include a BSN or ADN with BSN plan, IL RN license, BLS, ACLS; ER roles may require additional certifications.
Qualifications
- BSN or ADN with plan to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
- ER-specific credentials ACLS and PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and health care team.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate outcomes.
- Direct care and coordinate with any nursing assistants involved.
- Document care and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
- Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects.
- Document patient responses and adjust plans based on progress.
