St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant, Float Team, SLPG to support practices within a defined Easton & New Jersey region.

The role involves pre-visit planning, charting, patient preparation, and coordinating with the Care Team across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a High School degree, preferably a graduated Medical Assistant program, and 2 years of healthcare experience with strong customer service skills.

Qualificações

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Graduates of accredited Medical Assistant programs are strongly preferred.
• Two years' experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating the patient’s medical record prior to the appointment with recent test results and correspondence.
• Completes pre-charting of all value-based pieces up to five days prior to patient’s appointment.
• Prepares patients for examination: gathers height, weight, vital signs; updates medication list and allergies; records history and smoking status.
• Communicates with the Care Team regarding discharge, ED visits, consultations, labs and follow-ups.
• Travel throughout an assigned geographic region(s) of SLPG practices.
