Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant, Float Team – SLPG to support practices within a defined region.

The role requires flexible, multidisciplinary skills and travel to various sites to assist with patient care. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, and preferably completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with prior healthcare experience and customer service aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduates of accredited Medical Assistant programs are strongly preferred.
• Two years' experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs, medications, and history.
• Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing medical records and updating charts.
• Assist with injections or immunizations as permitted by state guidelines.
• Coordinate with care team regarding discharge, appointments, and tests.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and waste disposal per protocol.
• Travel to practices within the assigned region to support multiple sites.
