St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Float Team – SLPG. The role supports practices across an Easton & New Jersey region, traveling to assigned sites to assist with patient flow and clinical duties.

Requirements include a high school degree (MA program preferred) and at least two years in a healthcare setting. The position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits within a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Graduates of accredited Medical Assistant programs preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and updating test results and notes.
• Performs pre-charting of value-based items up to five days before visits and communicates with the care team.
• Prepares patients for examination, takes vital signs, updates meds and allergies, and records history.
• Provides patient care services; maintains exam rooms and supplies; handles waste disposal.
• Coordinates with providers regarding discharge, ED visits, labs, and specialist referrals.
• Travel across assigned SLPG practice region to support multiple sites.
