Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Inpatient Float Pool at Beloit Memorial Hospital. This role offers 24-30 hours weekly across 1st or 3rd shifts, with 7a-7p or 7p-7a schedules in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Under RN supervision, the Float Pool LPN delivers safe nursing care, documents actions, and supports various inpatient areas while maintaining flexibility and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited NLN LPN school of nursing.
• Active Wisconsin LPN licensure.
• CPR certified or certification within 3 months of hire.
• Telemetry course/test within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to work independently in emergencies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and implement care plans.
• Safely administer medications as per policy and scope of practice.
• Document nursing actions and patient responses in medical records.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Provide patient and family teaching and education.
• Initiate and discontinue peripheral IV access upon competency validation.
