Job summary
EmergencyMD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Beloit Memorial Hospital Float Pool in Beloit, Wisconsin. The LPN will be responsible for patient assessments, organizing data and documentation, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited LPN program with active Wisconsin licensure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in emergency situations are also required. This role is eligible for benefits and involves a 1st shift schedule of 24 hours per week.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited NLN LPN school of nursing with active Wisconsin LPN licensure.
CPR certified or certification within 3 months of hire.
Completion of telemetry course/test within 3 months of hire.
Ability to work independently and react calmly in emergencies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Contribute to ongoing assessments initiated by RN.
Organize and document accurate patient assessment data.
Follow nursing care plans and document patient treatments.
Recognize and document significant behavioral changes.
Administer medications safely to patients.
Teach patients and families about care procedures.
Respond to patient emergencies with sound judgment.
