Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a Float Pool CNA to provide direct and indirect patient care in a medical-surgical setting under RN supervision. You will participate in CQI activities and float to all units as needed, supporting high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA license and BLS, with preference for at least one year in acute or behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Current C.N.A. license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care/behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Consistently completes hourly rounds; 5 P's : pain, potty, position, periphery and alerting the RN to issues with the IV pump.
• Performs patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the standard of care for the patient's age; pediatric, geriatric, and the general population.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
