Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Float Pool at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. This full-time day shift role offers opportunities to float across multiple units, including ICU areas, to support nursing teams with essential patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA/LNA license, has recent acute care experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires.
• Requires 1 year of medical clerical experience or related experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
• Collects patient data, vital signs, input/output, and documents in the medical records.
• Transports patient specimens and communicates status to care team.
• Maintains patient charts and supplies; supports unit operations and administrative tasks.
• Assists with transport of patients and participates in OR turnover as needed.
