Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time patient scheduling, registration and testing support role. This float position rotates across Lebanon, Ephrata, Kissel Hill and Manheim, with mid/evening hours and weekend rotation.

The role includes phlebotomy, specimen collection, insurance verification and records management in the EHR. CPR within 30 days, high school diploma, and 1 year of clerical or customer service experience are required; Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
• One year of basic keyboarding/computer use.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete and accurate patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and coordination of tests and services.
• Demonstrates ability to handle high volumes and complex patients in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Performs phlebotomy, venipuncture, and specimen collection; maintains competency in related procedures.
• Registers patients, explains co-pays and pre-appointment instructions, and communicates with payors as needed.
• Maintains detailed documentation in EMR and coordinates orders and test results.
• Performs routine clinical duties with adherence to regulatory standards and safety protocols.
