Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Owensboro, Kentucky, covering surrounding locations. This casual/per diem role offers varied sites and hours, typically 7:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday and weekends.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle specimen processing and billing, and deliver excellent patient service across multiple sites with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
