Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at S State Street in Dover, DE. The role involves traveling to multiple sites, collecting specimens, and providing excellent patient service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a phlebotomy certification or completed training. Experience preferred includes 1 year of phlebotomy and strong communication skills. The role offers a Monday–Friday 6:00am–5:00pm schedule with rotating Saturdays and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
