Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Manahawkin, NJ. This role covers Ocean County and will involve travel to multiple sites as needed.

As a Phlebotomist, you will perform blood collections, ensure accurate data entry, and provide excellent patient service. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, with eligibility for Labcorp’s incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as a phlebotomist required.
• 2+ years phlebotomist preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required in lieu of work experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
