Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team at Lake Street in New Britain, CT. This role involves collecting blood via venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages across multiple sites.

You will perform data entry, manage billing information, and maintain accurate patient logs while delivering excellent customer service. The position requires flexibility for overtime and travel to other Labcorp locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
