Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist in Hartselle, AL. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across ages, data entry, and processing specimens for testing. You will travel to multiple sites as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years phlebotomy experience; a phlebotomy certification or accredited training is preferred. Vaccination is required where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
