Job summary

Labcorp in Springfield, MA is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection across multiple sites, with schedules Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–6:00 pm and rotating Saturdays.

You will provide friendly patient service, enter data, assist with specimen processing, and travel to additional sites as needed. Requirements include high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent, with at least 6 months experience; valid

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
