Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our Palm Harbor, FL team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites.

The position offers a 20 hours per week schedule, with rotating Saturdays, and emphasizes exceptional patient service. Preferred candidates have 1 year+ phlebotomy experience or a certified training program, strong communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is preferred/required in lieu of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
