Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist Float to support NJ clinical lab office locations. The role requires flexibility with travel to satellite sites and a 6:30am–5pm schedule, with weekend rotation as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, can perform adult/pediatric/geriatric venipuncture, and is adept with LIS systems while adhering to HIPAA and lab protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required; drug screen collection preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the NHA preferred; may be required at specific locations.
• CLA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements; phlebotomy skills across adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes specimens for transport to main lab.
• Collects urine and stool samples; manages 24-hour collections.
• Collects H. pylori breath test and coordinates orders for OVH specimens.
• Delivers satellite specimens to the correct department; maintains LIS entries.
