Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Portland, Oregon area. You will perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of Labcorp at patient service centers or client offices.

The role offers a quarterly incentive bonus program and a float differential of $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement; schedules include Mon-Fri 7:00 am–7:00 pm with overtime and rotating Saturdays. We provide comprehensive benefits for full-time staff and a supportive environment that values

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
