Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Albany, NY team. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, handling specimen preparation and data entry, and supporting multiple clinics on a rotating schedule.

You will provide excellent patient service, handle billing support as needed, and travel to additional sites. A phlebotomy certification or training, and a valid driver's license, are required; one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training; or 3+ months experience.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Able to pass color blindness test and have valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
