Job summary

Labcorp in Springfield, MA is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection from all ages by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and providing courteous patient service across multiple sites.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with variable early to late hours and rotating Saturdays. A phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months experience, is required, with opportunities for growth within a large diagnostics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Pass color vision test and color blindness test as part of job standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
