Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy. The role includes dispensing prescriptions under supervision, clerical duties, and inventory management while traveling to nearby sites to cover PTO.

Based in Valparaiso, IN, you will travel within a 100-mile radius to support multiple sites, work with pharmacists for compliance, and provide excellent customer service to patients and clinic staff.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• Must be able to travel to other sites with own car and access reliable transportation.
• Valid US driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100 miles to cover PTO.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records.
• Assists Pharmacist to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties for the department.
