Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is hiring a Float Pharmacy Technician in Fairfax, VA to support all functions of the mental health and specialty pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision and handling essential clerical tasks.

Schedule is Monday–Friday (32 hours/week). Requires Virginia license and 1+ year experience; bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Virginia.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and verifies under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records.
• Supports pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal/state rules.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
