Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Float Pharmacist in Massachusetts. This full-time on-site role will rotate among our pharmacies in the South Greater Boston Area, including Quincy.

You will dispense prescriptions, advise customers on medications, and help maintain compliance with state pharmacy laws while delivering excellent service. Hours are Mon–Fri 8:00am–5:00pm with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in state of Massachusetts.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
