Float Pharmacist - Boston Area, No Nights or Weekends

Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a full-time Float Pharmacist to cover on-site roles at our North Greater Boston Area pharmacies.

Shifts run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; there are no nights or weekends. Primary duties include dispensing medications, counseling customers, and ensuring compliance with state pharmacy laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
