Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Float Pharmacist to join its network in central and eastern Connecticut. This onsite role performs standard pharmacy duties, with hours Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:30pm and no nights or weekends.

You will distribute medications, educate customers, administer immunizations where allowed, and ensure compliance with state boards. A CT pharmacist license and immunizer certification (or willingness) are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in the state of Connecticut.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within three months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
