Job summary

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, FL seeks a patient access professional for clinics in the region. This full-time onsite role handles scheduling, documentation, and basic patient billing tasks with a focus on accurate data entry and friendly service.

Requires strong communication, computer skills, and familiarity with EMR systems. Training is provided from day one, with mileage support and a comprehensive benefits package. Work schedule includes day shifts with weekend availability.

Job Description

Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Requires full availability weekdays 7:30am-8pm & weekends 7:30am-5pm.

Location: Will provide support to clinics between Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, Daytona, Port Orange, New Smyrna, Deland, Orange City, and surrounding areas. Mileage support is provided.

• Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Prepares, processes, and files the medical record for each patient as required by patient type for documentation by physician and medical personnel.

• Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
• Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to request and collect co‑pays and outstanding balances.

• Previous use of an EMR (Preferred).
• General knowledge of medical terminology, coding/billing (Preferred).

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• Previous customer service experience [Preferred]
• Prior pediatric experience (for Kids Urgent Care Centers) [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) [Preferred]
