Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to float between Medical Surgical and ED units in Faribault, MN. 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two-week pay period) on a 12-hour day shift. The role includes supporting patients with ADLs, vital signs, and care coordination under RN supervision.

Responsibilities cover clerical duties, medication transport, and adherence to documentation standards. Expect weekend and holiday rotations in a non-union setting.

Qualifications

• Age: 18+ years old (or 17+ with high school diploma or GED).
• Qualifying backgrounds include CNA program, Allina Nursing Assistant Academy, clinical rotations, NREMT upon hire, or prior direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes, collects, and documents health status data as assigned.
• Performs personal care/interventions as assigned, assisting with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Performs clerical duties and assists with patient registration and orders processing.
• Contributes to a safe environment by following policies and reporting hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Nursing Assistant CNA program

Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program

NREMT certification upon hire

Completion of clinical rotations with an accredited nursing program

Previous direct patient care experience
