Job summary

Kinwell is seeking a Float Patient Care Coordinator to support its three Seattle clinics—Ballard, Denny Way, and Westlake. You’ll greet patients, manage check-ins and the scheduler, maintain clean waiting areas, and assist with call-center tasks as needed.

You will ensure accurate patient records, verify insurance, and collaborate with billing to support plans and follow-up procedures. A strong customer-service mindset and HIPAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Travel between clinics to cover shifts as needed.
• 1 year of healthcare or patient service experience.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance verification.
• Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• HIPAA regulations and privacy knowledge.
• Experience with scheduling and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage across clinics in Seattle for sick and vacation time.
• Manage patient appointments, coordinate with clinicians and follow-ups.
• Serve as first contact for patients via phone and email.
• Verify insurance and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with billing communications and cost estimates.
• Support clinicians and staff with admin tasks.
• Collect and analyze patient feedback to improve operations.
