Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Medical Office Administration preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Experience handling scheduling, insurance verification, and patient billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Collect and verify patient information, insurance data and demographics.
• Verify and update insurance and demographic information; ensure forms are completed.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances; balance daily transactions.
• Answer multi-line calls, transfer as needed, and relay messages accurately.
• Schedule and confirm appointments following practice guidelines.
• Check-out patients and schedule follow-ups per provider recommendations.
• Perform clerical tasks including filing, scanning, and records management.
