Job summary

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (Float) to support the East LA Health Center and travel to Pomona, El Monte, and Whittier locations as needed. This full-time role covers front and back office tasks, patient testing, education, and compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate has an MA diploma, BLS, 1–2 years clinical experience, and flexibility including Saturdays. Join a mission-driven team delivering reproductive health services.

Qualifications

• MA diploma or certificate required; BLS certification preferred.
• 1–2 years clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays and travel to multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform front and back office duties across multiple sites.
• Obtain history, vitals, and assist with procedures and tests.
• Provide patient education and non-judgmental counseling on options.
• Assist with pregnancy testing and counseling per protocols.
• Maintain infection control, supply management, and charting.
• Support transportation of patients and escort for procedures as needed.
