Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Livingston, NJ, is seeking aRegistered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Float Pool on the day shift. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians in a fast-paced environment.

Required are NJ RN license and BLS; BSN preferred; EPIC proficiency expected. Full-time schedule includes three 12.5-hour shifts per week, with alternating weekends, supporting career growth in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing clinical changes.
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Accurate and timely EMR documentation.
