Job summary

Solis Mammography seeks a Float Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography across Houston market centers. The role requires precise positioning, patient education, and teamwork in a high-touch environment.

Eligible candidates may receive a Sign-On Bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance. The schedule is full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; travel across centers is expected.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB.
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible with documented experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements: 15 CEUs every 3 years and 200 cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work Location: Floats between all Houston market centers

Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm, depending on center hours. (Occasional Saturdays Required)

The Float Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Float Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
• Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
