Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a licensed practical nurse to deliver patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The System Float LPN will be deployed across campuses to provide clinical support to units that utilize LPNs and team-based nursing models.

Qualifications include current state LPN license, HS diploma or GED with LPN diploma, and referral to the LPN residency program for new grads or those with less than one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Current State LPN License.
• High School Diploma or GED and LPN diploma and Licensure.
• New graduates or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications may be required by unit policies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with data collection and provides feedback to the Registered Nurse from multiple sources.
• Assists with planning and discharge planning as part of the nursing process.
• Carries out interventions safely and documents patient responses per hospital standards.
• Educates patients and families about care needs identified on admission and during hospitalization.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality, patient-centered care.
