Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking a Full Time clinic support role to assist physicians in delivering medical care across multiple clinics around Shawnee Mission, Olathe and Overland Park. The position includes heavy patient interaction, billing support and calendar management.

Requires 1+ year of experience, BLS CPR certification, and CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA credentials. Role offers day shift with weekend coverage and mileage support as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of previous experience required
• 5+ years of medical practice experience preferred
• BLS CPR Certification required
• CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA CMA-related credentials required

Responsibilities

• Assists the provider in delivering medical care to clinic patients.
• Manages billing and charge entry processes efficiently.
• Schedules patient appointments and manages the clinic calendar.
• Handles prior authorizations for medical procedures and treatments.
• Oversees patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and processes related documentation.
• Answers phones and addresses patient inquiries professionally.
• Processes medical records and ensures accurate documentation.
• Acts as an EMR super user, providing support and training to staff.
• Maintains a high level of customer service in all patient interactions.
• Ensures compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
