Job summary

Priceline is seeking a Senior Director of Flights Engineering to lead software teams powering the Flight Shopping Platform. You will shape technology strategy, scale delivery, and drive cross-functional execution across global teams in a fast-paced, ideas-led environment.

You will guide multi-team roadmaps, influence architectural decisions, and champion AI/agentic engineering practices to accelerate innovation while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
• 5+ years experience in leading software development teams.
• Proven track record managing a mix of people-managers and senior ICs, overseeing an org of 20+ across multiple teams
• B2C, e-commerce, or OTA experience, ideally with a strong experimentation culture; travel industry experience a plus
• Skilled at hiring, coaching, and developing engineering leaders, including performance management of managers
• Experience operating across global, cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities through organizational change
• Proven collaboration skills with both technical and less-technical colleagues.
• Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.
• Strong system-architecture fluency, with comfort partnering deeply on technical decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead and be responsible for software development teams that own the services powering Priceline’s Flight Shopping Platform.
• Serve as a leader of leaders, scaling delivery and cross-functional execution through your teams.
• Drive technology strategy, operational backbone, and system architecture decisions across the flights domain.
• Lead adoption of AI/agentic engineering practices to accelerate shopping-experience innovation.
• Own the multi-team roadmap and partner with Product Group Engineering leads, flight commercial stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to set priorities and long-term technical direction.
• Manage and coach talented managers and engineers of all levels of experience.
• Have influence on what we build, how we build, and how we work.
• Participate in various formal and/or grass-roots technical and non-technical communities at Priceline.
