Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking a First Line Flightline Operations Manager to lead a Flightline operations team. You will ensure air vehicles are completed and pass airworthiness certification, oversee installation, testing, modification, and delivery preparation for customer delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership experience in aerospace, plus lean/process-improvement expertise, and the ability to coordinate with flight crews, engineering and suppliers.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a leadership role or completed Boeing leadership course.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience.
• 3+ years of leading production systems or process improvements.
• Willingness to work any shift based on needs of the operation.
• Bachelor's degree or higher; A&P/Repairman certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness.
• Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, coaches, leads, develops and motivates employees.
• Safety, quality, continuous improvement & teamwork should be a mindset.
• Influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors.
