Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is seeking a First Line Flightline Operations Manager (Level K) to lead a Flightline operations team ensuring air vehicles pass certification for airworthiness. You will oversee final component installation, functional testing, maintenance, and release for flight toward customer delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing and leadership, plus experience with lean processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a leadership role or completion of Boeing's 'Exploring Leadership' course.
• 3+ years in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience.
• 3+ years leading production systems or process improvements (Lean, fab production system, improve job practices, techniques and standards).
• Willingness to work any shift based on needs of the operation.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Flightline operations to ensure airworthiness certification.
• Interface with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
• Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Manage, coach, lead, develop and motivate employees.
• Maintain safety, quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork mindset.
