Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 5 - Flight Test IPT Lead to guide multi-disciplinary teams in designing, integrating, and delivering mission-specific kill vehicle systems for hypersonic environments. This high-visibility role requires exceptional leadership and a strong background in avionics design and program management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or Ph.D. with 8 years.
Active US Government Secret Security Clearance required.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Experience leading technical teams.
Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or similar leadership role.
Experience directing engineering efforts across design, development, testing, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead Flight Test IPT team to achieve schedule, cost, and performance goals.
Coordinate cross-functional engineering, program management, software, hardware, and manufacturing activities.
Develop mission-specific integration and test procedures; oversee test campaigns under flight conditions.
Manage risk, communicate with stakeholders, and brief executives on status and decisions.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to align technical requirements with milestones.
