Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Saint Augustine, FL, seeks a Section Manager for the Flight Test Operations team within the Test & Evaluation department. The role combines leadership, technical test oversight, and cross-functional collaboration across sites and programs.

You will guide initial ground and flight test activities for aircraft and onboard systems, manage staffing, and interact with customers and suppliers. A DoD secret clearance is required, with frequent travel and flexible work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with related engineering experience.
• Master’s degree with related experience is preferred.
• PhD with applicable engineering focus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop 10-15 team members including engineers and technicians.
• Provide direction for flight test criteria, acceptance tests and reports.
• Forecast staffing and resource needs across programs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to manage risks and opportunities.
• Lead cross-site communications and program reviews.
• Ensure compliance with aviation safety processes and SOW updates.
