Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks a professional Flight Test engineer to support ground/flight test activities at the Mobile facility.

The role requires coordinating across Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, managing documentation, and ensuring proper aircraft configuration for tests. Candidates should have 5+ years in aircraft technical support or troubleshooting, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and strong English skills; French knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• More than 5 years experience in aircraft technical support and/or troubleshooting.
• English: Fluent; French knowledge appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between Production, Quality team, Engineering and Flight Test.
• Act as Flight Test team representative in technical review meetings with MAP, FAL/Flightline, Design Office, Programs, and Quality teams.
• Follow-up technical and quality problems such as QSR, in-service events, recurrent problems with SA Aircraft Technical group.
• Ensure information flow between SA Aircraft technical group and Production flight test team in Mobile.
• Arrange ID cards for all A220 production aircraft while working with FTEs.
• Build and maintain a database with technical information to support A220 ground/flight activities.
• Ensure technical aircraft follow-up: Flight Test Request screening, proper configuration checks, and follow-up on anomalies.
• Confirm FTEs have the tools necessary to conduct ground/flight activities.
• Handle logistics for preparation and follow up of production ground/flight test activities.
• Distribute technical information about new features or standards within the Flight Test team.
• Relay recurrent or operational issues to Development Flight/Ground Test and Design Office/Customer Service.
• Participate in software updates and continuous improvement of processes.
