Job summary

Executive Recruiting Group is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to support test planning, data analysis, and troubleshooting of ground test articles and flight test vehicles. You will coordinate testing with various engineering disciplines and contribute to readiness reviews and post-test reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of FAA-certification test experience, with strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on aircraft troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish detailed test plans for flight and ground test events.

• Generate test safety hazard analyses.
• Assist in test card development and review with other engineering disciplines.
• Support test readiness reviews and pre/post-test briefings.
• Conduct tests and assist other test engineers with real-time analysis.
• Record and track test article squawks and issues.
• Perform post-test data analysis and evaluation of test success criteria.
• Participate in hands-on aircraft troubleshooting efforts.

As the Flight Test Engineer of our newly created aircraft, you will support efforts for test planning, data analysis, and troubleshooting of ground test articles and flight test vehicles. You will be responsible for coordinating testing and findings with various engineering disciplines.

Duties:

• Developing and publishing detailed test plans for flight and ground test events.
• Coordinating reviews and test planning with the test pilots and/or engineers.
• Interfacing with test article design teams to define test configurations and data requirements.
• Generating test safety hazard analyses.
• Supporting test card development and review in collaboration with other engineering disciplines and test
• Supporting test readiness reviews, and pre/post-test briefings.
• Conducting tests and supporting other test engineers with real-time decision making and analysis.
• Recording and tracking of test article squawks and/or issues.
• Conducting post test data analysis and test reporting to determine if test success criteria were met.
• Participating in hands on aircraft troubleshooting efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering area
• 2+ years test experience on programs pursuing FAA Certification
• Ability to work within small teams
• Experience solving complex problems within integrated systems
• Ability to work in highly dynamic, research and development environments
• Hands on experience troubleshooting issues on an aircraft or in a lab setting
