Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 5 - Flight Test IPT Lead to guide multi-disciplinary teams in designing and delivering mission-specific hardware and software for hypersonic environments.

You will lead technical execution, manage test activities, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met. U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with 12+ years experience, or advanced degree with fewer years.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Active US Government Secret Security Clearance required.
• Ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience leading technical teams and DoD systems engineering requirements.
• Experience as IPT Lead or Technical Lead in a program office.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and leadership authority for the Flight Test IPT team, delivering on performance, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Engage cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones with clear communication across stakeholders.
• Proactively manage assignments, workloads, mentorship, and collaboration with internal teams and external partnerships.
• Balance multi-discipline trade-offs and optimize flight test execution across mechanical, electrical, software, and other domains.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings and risk management discussions.
